Review of Minutes from Previous Board Meeting: April 13th 2016
• No corrections; Susan moved to accept the minutes as is, Jaime seconded the motion.
Treasurer’s Report
• January 20, 2016 balance: $3822.39; Current balance: $2523.19
• Annual dues not yet received: $638.88 (10 properties); Jaime will contact each person by phone or in person
• Jaime presented a comparison of the current treasurer’s report to a 2012 prepared budget estimate to better prepare us in revisiting the topic of dues ($48.40) and whether they should be changed. After a discussion it was agreed that the dues should remain unchanged.
• Barb moved to accept the treasurer’s report; Susan seconded the motion.
Facebook Page Update
• This has become a great source of community information; Owenwood will be invited to join as soon as Brooke receives their email information; she will also add any renters in the area when she receives their addresses.
• When homeowners move, Brooke can remove them from the Facebook posts.
Annual Meeting
• It was decided to wait until the Annual meeting to appoint a VP
• The meeting will be held at the Huffman’s home; September 11th but has since been changed to Saturday, September 10th at 5:30.
• The meeting will last just 30 minutes; dinner at 6:00 and Owenwood will be invited; Jaime may be able to supply a movie!
• Susan will print out fliers and distribute; Jaime & Joe will grill.
• A notice of the annual meeting will be sent out with a list of nominees.
• Barb will ask Pam if she is interested; anyone else?
• Barb moved to spend $200 for the barbecue; Denise seconded the motion
Disaster Preparedness
• Elizabeth attended the disaster preparedness meeting in April so we will talk to her about the event
• Peter will set up an informational table at the barbecue to establish interest and advertise a meeting date to discuss this important topic!
New Neighbors
• Barb & Brooke will update the welcome baskets & distribute to Pam Crum & the Blackmores
Landscaping
• Susan & Joe will ask their contacts for an estimate to trim and weed the corner of Seminole & 305 3 times a year
• Someone who lives in Owenwood sent a check for $25 to go towards the improvement of the Seminole entry; Barb will send a thank you note.
Website
• Joe reported that he used a new web company to set up a new website for Indian Hills: ihehoa.com; He will follow up with more information through email. Barb would like to discuss this topic further at a future meeting.
Other
• Would the county take over the cost of our streetlights? Denise will discuss this with her husband, Chris to follow up; and Jaime offered to contact PSE
• How much information are we required to share with prospective buyers and their realtors? Barb will contact a realtor friend to discuss this topic.
