• Barb will send Welcome letters to both
Treasurer’s Report
• Starting balance: $3077.89; Ending balance: $3354.82
• Income/Expense summary: See report
• Barb moved to accept treasurer’s report; Pat seconded
Discussion of proposed updates to Protective Covenants
• What percentage of membership needs to approve?
• A recommendation was made to add a clause regarding the county leash law (for dogs)
• Peter proposed a subcommittee be established to refine changes in bylaws before being presented to the board; subcommittee members: Barb Emel, Pat Froelich, Joan Vold, Dave Vold, and Dean Dale; 1st meeting to be held in Nov. and results presented to the board
Indian Hills HOA Website
• Larry & Peter met with Valerie who has begun working on the website
• This will be a ‘closed’ website, so only owners/residents will be able to access
• Valerie will move forward with this project with input from the board
Maintaining our Community
• Pat will head up the landscaping rejuvenation set for Sunday, Sept. 28th
• Jaime will put out a sign; Peter will send out an email
• Barb will buy daffodil bulbs; $40 limit
• Joan will work on an estimate of the loss of plants when the county/state put in the street lights; action may be taken to request reimbursement
• Jaime will contact Kitsap Transit to find out if anything is in the works for a bus platform opposite Seminole on 305
Disaster Preparedness Planning
• Introduction to “Map Your Neighborhood”
• Date set for Sunday, Nov. 2nd; Board Meeting from 5 – 5:30; “Map Your Neighborhood” from 5:30 – 7:00 serving chili & cornbread (?)
Election of Board of Directors
• Tally of election ballots received; minimum of 23 to validate and we currently have 19
• Jaime will let Peter know when we reach the validation number
• Jaime will verify the legal ownership of Lot 48, 3035 Chippewa
Meeting was adjourned at 6:00 with Barb’s motion and Jaime’s second.
